Enhanced Access Hub – Delivered by Winchester City PCN
In collaboration with GP practices across Winchester City, we are proud to offer the Enhanced Access Hub, a service designed to provide additional healthcare access for our patients outside of regular hours.
About the Service
Since July 2022, the Enhanced Access Hub has been operating from the Friarsgate Practice premises at Badger Farm. This service offers routine, pre-booked GP appointments during evenings and weekends, complementing the care available during standard weekday hours.
Services Available at the Enhanced Access Hub
- GP consultations
- Long-term condition reviews
- Proactive health screenings and assessments, including cervical screening and NHS Health Checks
- Child and adult immunisations
- Fitting and removal of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (coils and implants)
- MSK First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) assessments
- Phlebotomy (blood tests)
Please note: Service availability may vary depending on staff rotas and the skills of the clinicians on duty.

Opening Hours
- Monday to Friday: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Booking an Appointment
To book an evening or weekend appointment at the Enhanced Access Hub, please call our reception team on 01962 853599 and request an “Enhanced Access appointment.” Our team will do their best to accommodate your request.
Data Sharing
Although this service is an extension to our GP Practice capacity, please note as it is operated by Winchester City PCN. If you book a hub appointment you are consenting to share your medical record with this provider. Winchester City PCN will have full access to your record and any consultation notes will be shared back live to your GP Practice.
